Chris Long is deputy general manager and vice president of space systems for the Space, Cyber and Intelligence Systems line of business for General Dynamics Mission Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics Corporation.
Bringing extensive experience in engineering, program execution and business development, Long’s space career spans 25 years and he was previously with Motorola and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, now known collectively as General Dynamics Mission Systems. Before returning to General Dynamics, Long worked for Northrop Grumman and its heritage companies in the space sector, leading programs with customers such as the National Reconnaissance Office and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Long serves as a board member for the National Security Space Associations and is a member of the Leadership Innovation and Entrepreneur Program (LEIP) in Palo Alto, California for the last seven years; and has published multiple technical papers related to space communications systems. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, AFCEA, NDIA, Old Crows and IEEE.
Long holds an MBA in High Technology from the W.P. Carey Business School, Arizona State University, and MS and BS Electrical Engineering degrees from New Mexico State University.
